The stylish pre-war 'Sunray' heating stove (above) made by Grangemouth Iron Co. Ltd. as shown in a 1936 catalogue from Brooks, Phillips & Co. Ltd. of Paddington Green, London. Below, for comparison, the dull and unlovely post-war version illustrated in B. Finch & Co. Ltd.'s Catalogue of Stoves and Ranges 1951.
The muggy and humid weather of the morning combined with the rays of the morning sun set up this image. I converted it B&W for greater impact.
A best flowering of this plant in long time, ...... maybe 20 years. The hybrid was registered in 1919, and is definitely a favourite in my collection. The plant is now to it's full size and has improved remarkably through the last year, growing some strong canes.

Rays of sunlight bouncing off the Thatched roof, flip to B & W as the sun was bleaching the image! think it works.
