A Ring-tailed Lemur sunbathing* high on a beam in Taronga Zoo's Lemur Forest Adventure where I walked along a path surrounded by active, contented Lemurs - such a privilege.
* "In the mornings the ring-tailed lemur sunbathes to warm itself. It faces the sun sitting in what is frequently described as a "sun-worshipping" posture or Lotus position. However, it sits with its legs extended outward, not cross-legged, and will often support itself on nearby branches. Sunning is often a group activity, particularly during the cold mornings. At night, troops will split into sleeping parties huddling closely together to keep warm."

One of six images--On May 10, 2022, I took a walk on the pond trail at Frear Park, Troy, New York, USA. I had just attended the Zoom funeral of a cousin who had died very suddenly. Although she was in her 80s, she was vital & an avid hiker & nature photographer. I was deeply saddened & felt impelled to seek the solace of nature. Walking the trail helped! The turtles were out in force, sunbathing! This is the first one I saw.
Don’t you just love sittin' out and getting a touch of sun? A favorite part of summer is laying on the hot sand, in a white bikini bottom - topless and letting the rays brown the skin to a golden tan while staring at the ocean, the waves (and hot guys walking past) . . . . Summer time where the living is easy or on holidays, seeing a beautiful girl at the beach always makes sunbathing glamorous.
