I took this photograph outside under the very hot sun, and I really liked the colors that were showing up, so I took the Photograph and was quite happy with the way in which it turned out.
Taken with my Modified Sony a900, and my Sony SAL-70-300mm G 4.5-5.6 Lens.
I just purchased this used Modified Sony a900 on eBay, and this is the first Photograph that I had taken with it. I just received the Sony a900 on Friday, 08-10-2012.
The person who owned the camera before me spent $500.00 to take out the AA Filters and replaced with clear class filters, at least I think that's how it's done.
So what happens when you take out the AA Filter in cameras, it gives you a much sharper image than all other DSLR's that all have AA Filters, which are designed to take out certain artifacts (moire's) within the image that is captured. Now this is good, but you lose out on sharpness in the image as you can see here, the image that is shown here is pretty sharp, and without the AA Filter. Hand held.
There's pluses and negatives in taking out the AA Filters in any camera, and the whole of camera industry has decided to leave in the AA Filters, over taking them out because the artifacts (moire's) left in the images can be very distracting, and they're harder to fix in post processing, than it would be if the AA Filter was left in Camera.
One more thing, I do understand that Nikon has come out with the D800E, and the "E" means that Nikon has taken out the AA Filter for you, and this is for those professionals that must have the best and sharpest images possible. Nikon also sells the D800 camera with the AA Filters minus the "E" after said Nikon D800. Simply put, they sell the Nikon D800 and a Nikon D800E camera Body, which the Nikon D800 does have the AA Filter, and the Nikon D800E doesn't have the AA Filter.
I hope that this helps some people understand just a little more in what these AA Filters are, and what their function is in every Camera.

“We all shine on...like the moon and the stars and the sun...we all shine on...come on and on and on...”

We had a taste of summer in Melbourne this week. This was shot moments after the sun set last Tuesday evening.
Taken from Half Moon Bay.
Lisa is almost 16 years old and very happy in her golden years (with golden EARS here in the sun!).
