Sun setting on the land we gained back from the sea. Straight, flat, occupied by wind-turbines, beautiful in it's own way. Flevoland (NL).
Venus in mid transit with a plan flew by the sun. Taken with Canon 60D mated to a Meade 4" GoTo telescope, auto time lapse photography every 60 seconds.
Warning: stare at your own peril!
My L glass looked straight into the sun the other day, but didn't tell me what she saw...
This is not fair for my camera or my monitor or JPEG or my eyes; none of which could resolve the dynamic range of the fireball that gives life to everything on this planet. If your monitor can see the shades without showing banding, all the power to you!

I've published a view from this same area in the past but for some reason this particular photo just captured my eye as I reviewed those images from that day. The golden sun was simply amazing as it caressed the entire scene with its warmth and color.
