Westwards from Spieleckkogel summit looking towards the Austrian Alps.
The mountains in the foreground are the Geisstein and Gamshag.
Exhausted, windswept, but exhilerated. Especially amazed to find a phone signal, on Scafell Pike, and therefore able to Tweet this picture and this one too, and fuss over some @replies for a few minutes. The modern world eh?

The NHS Values Summit brings together a diverse range of people and perspectives to create a greater understanding of how people’s differences, social status and cultural expectations can affect their experiences of health and care.
It challenges and inspires people to think about the role of ethical leadership in improving the health and wellbeing of local communities, staff and patients and how the NHS can increase the social value of its activities.
Welcoming representatives from health and social care, alongside more than 20 partners from the voluntary and community sector, this event (in Leeds, Yorkshire) was a template for future NHS Values Summits, which will be held twice a year in different locations across the country. Each event will explore a different theme relating to equality, health inequalities and human rights. The next gathering will take place in May 2013.

I really love the fall. Summit Avenue has shown me the most beautiful color changes. One day I was rounding the corner and there were these tiny gold leaves falling out of the trees super slowly. I tried to catch them but they were too hard to focus on. I have the memory and you have this image.
The summit of the Great Orme above Llandudno showing the tramcar terminal (left), an ascending tram and the "Summit Complex" - a cafe, bar and restaurant. The total experience of many visitors to the summit is a two-way trip on the tram and refreshment in the Complex. This is a pity, because the Orme has so much more to offer with relatively easy well-formed paths that quickly reach the limestone flora and fauna.
On this visit to Llandudno I had my first trip on the tram for over 50 years - usually we walk up through Happy Valley but age creeps on! However, we did have a delightful walk circumnavigating the summit followed by a civilised descent to the West Shore.
