Hah - only one person knows my secret and she's not talking... Right Stacy?
SAH and I had to get out of the house for a few hours and press the shutter. Nothing much to write home about but you take what you can get sometimes.
Long before the abrupt appearance of fall colors linked with the first frosts, there are subtle changes to be seen in the foliage: a subtle yellowing of some leaves, small patches of brighter colors. An ever-changing panoply of colors over the next 4 to 6 weeks.

I was "out and about" this morning hiking the deep woods looking for fall color. Still mostly green here in north Iowa, but for a few leaves hiding in the ravine.
The air was fresh and very cool early this morning.... announcing my favorite season is just around the corner!

When you live somewhere your whole life, you really take for granted the beauty in which you live and breath everyday... or at least I took it for granted. Cory and I have been taking special opportunity lately to admire what's around us in the here and the now. It has definitely made me feel more calm... more whole...
