There are significant weight restrictions for flying into Union Island and I don't have a compact travel tripod so I did the whole trip with just a 13" table top tripod. It worked better than I expected and forced me to work from a new, lower point of view.

I was standing in about a foot and a half of water and this big fella swam right up and checked me out. It eventually decided that I was not edible.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I took this off the stern of a catamaran; there's just a hint of wake in the right foreground.
These houses on the island of Bequia are built with the environment in mind. They are built around the land and local
stone is used. Solar is mostly used for power and rain water is collected in cisterns.
These homes are built into the cliffs on the edge of the ocean. It was amazing to see such use of natural means to build a house.

This photo depicts how the area of Moonhole in Bequia got its name. The name comes from a natural arch through which the moon can be seen at times. Must be a totally beautiful site on a night of a full moon.
This was the coastline in a remote part of the island of Bequia, in the southern Caribbean. The geology was interesting to view as I was passing by on a boat to go snorkeling. There were quite a few small sea caves like this one. The sea was pretty rough around this area.
This ship wrecked many years ago while attempting to short cut between the rocks. Fortunately there were no deaths involved.
This tree was amazing to see as it has been growing at a 90 degree angle with its 2 limbs. The limb going off to the right gets better anchorage farther away from the water and in less of a sandy environment.
The island in the distance is Petit Tabac, where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed.
