The Standseilbahn Stuttgart or Stuttgart Cable Car is a funicular railway in the city of Stuttgart. The line links the Südheimer Platz valley station with the Stuttgart Degerloch forest cemetery in the south quarters of Heslach. It was opened on 30 October 1929 to facilitate visitors to the forest cemetery which is located 90 metres (295 ft) above Stuttgart Heslach.

Stuttgart's coat of arms shows a black horse on its hind legs on a yellow background. It was first used in its current format in 1938; prior to this various designs and colours had been used, often with two horses. The canting seal pictured here reflects the origin of the name "Stuttgart". The name in Old High German was "stuotgarten", with "stuot" meaning mare, later cognate with the Old English term "stod" (Modern English: "stud", relating to the breeding of horses). The Old High German term "garten" referred to the compound on the site of the original settlement.The logo of the Porsche automobile company features a modified version of Stuttgart's coat of arms at its centre.

La Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart es la biblioteca pública de la ciudad de Stuttgart. Está organizado como un departamento de la oficina cultural de la ciudad y comprende la biblioteca central, 17 bibliotecas del distrito de la ciudad y dos bibliotecas móviles. En 2013, recibió el premio nacional como Biblioteca del Año.
Tagsüber ein schlichter Glaskubus, nachts eine blaue Lichtskulptur – die Stadtbibliothek gleich hinter dem Stuttgarter Hauptbahnhof gilt als eine der schönsten Bibliotheken weltweit. Und sie ist inzwischen auch eines der beliebtesten Foto‐Motive von Stuttgart.
Wer die Stadtbibliothek betritt, den erwartet zunächst ein hoher, leerer Raum, das so genannte Herz der Bibliothek, das die hektische Außenwelt hinter sich lässt. Von dort erstrecken sich über mehrere Stockwerke der Lesesaal, der durch Freitreppen verbunden ist. Auf jeder Ebene befinden sich Galerien mit Bücherregalen und Leseplätzen. Rund 500.000 Medien stehen in den Regalen, sofern sie nicht ausgeliehen sind. Weil alles in Weiß gehalten ist, bringen die vielen bunten Buchrücken Farbe in den futuristischen Bau. Das Glasdach über dem Atrium sorgt für viel Tageslicht auf den Galerien.
Das Kinder Riesenrad, der Lichterrausch und die Menschenmassen sind schon beeindruckend.
Vielleicht sogar zu viel des guten, für Fotografen ein absolutes Erlebnis.
