Maya is the founder and executive director of award-winning Proud Stutter, a podcast and nonprofit organization that is changing the conversation about stuttering through storytelling and advocacy. She shared parts of her journey with our audience, and how it inspired her to create her podcast as well as a documentary short, ROCK OF HOPE, that intersects stuttering, bullying, incarceration, and rebirth.
