I had a treat this morning, listening to NPR: the signal stuttered and went out and the local announcer knew why.
He said that the communication satellite that was carrying the program had just passed in front of the sun and the signal would be blitzed for a few minutes. Sure enough, it was off, then stuttered and came back. cool.
March 8- They are talking, today, about a solar flare. This is unrelated.

even the slightest stutter in her laugh, the tiniest tear in her eye, the softest sigh in her sleep. these things... they are bigger than I am.

Eh! So I got to read the afternoon announcements and started out REALLY great. Then the shit storm rolled in.
I ended up stuttering because I mixed up papers and took me what felt like forever to fix back. THEN! At the end of the announcement I accidentally said "Have a great day Islanders" The problem with that is that our school mascot is a dragon. Islanders is from a high school where I graduated from and where I student taught.
That issue has been up in the air for a while now. Everyone knows about how I wanted to be at JFK because it's my high school. Then on account what I did for the school when I was student teaching there. Quite a few of the seniors I knew I've become friends with. A student I advised since she was a sophomore was telling me how boring the club I was supposed to advise is because I'm not there.
The thing is I've come to love where I'm at right now. The staff I'm under REALLY care for the students regardless of their demographics. The team I'm with are honestly the most spirited and dedicated team of the entire school. The students love me even though I've punished them with extra work and whatnot.
I honestly don't know what I'm going to decide if the the position at JFK opens up.

I referenced the emptiness of modern and distant technological warfare waged from afar. In the past an honorable soldier knew the intense emotional and physical strength strength required to take the life of another human. However with the maneuvering and adaptability of newer technology and individual of power can strain the lives of others with the push of a button in the comfort of safety. The machine feels feels no remorse as it burns a foreign village to the ground. The robot doesn't sulk like man would, It simply does as it was programed, consumed entirely by the evil nature of war. I created the image of a chicken, universally represented as a symbol of cowardice. However, I displayed it in a military grade fashion to depict the destructiveness of modern cowardice.
