We finally had a day warm enough to hang wash out on the line. My reward was stepping out of the shower this morning to a fresh, line-dried towel. This is for Judy!

Sunset viewed against the World Financial Center and Hudson River in New York City (NYC) viewed from Jersey City, NJ. Could have cropped this but decided i like it with the sliver of the Jersey City building on the left.

Odiorne Point State Park is in New Hampshire and located on the seacoast near Portsmouth. I did use some processing to make the picture more painterly, but otherwise this is the exact scene I photographed.
Once we get the tracker uncovered than we can work on the Chrysler - ragtops do not fair well with the weight of the snow! The Big Truck is about a mile from home in a secured lot. It still is attached to a trailer and has chains on every tire. We are not sure how much work it will be to free her - we have not been able to get down there!
Really nice sunset over Wellfleet harbor. A lot of other photographers were out there snapping away too, but this is mine.
The rays on the river are real, but enhanced. The birds are from another picture taken a few minutes before. And Marilyn fishing is there because she needs to be.

This is what it looked like sitting in a large parking lot glaring at me.
And the horrible Flickr map program lists it in the wrong place. Its in the Salisbury Beach Reservation in Salisbury, Massachusetts.
A colleage of mine from work took me up to this unique site above his hometown yesterday a fascinating place one i will definately be visiting again ...
Cwmorthin Slate Quarry is a substantial disused underground working found on the shores of Llyn Cwmorthin above the famous slate-mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales. It is one of a number of mines that circle the town, most of which were enormous enterprises in their day. It has a long and complex history beginning in the early 1800's, though being at its most active towards the end of the 1800's. It was last worked (albeit on a very small scale) in the 1980's
I have to be honest not my most favourite time of the year , but some nice clouds and early low light made for an enjoyable walk up to Cwm Idwal ,Snowdonia

Had an early walk up Moel Siabod ..( Ok Wiff maybe not as early as you would !!) and i chanced upon this falls with the mountain in the distance ....
I've used a similar background before, but I like this modification better. The woman and children look out, but don't see their future. One doesn't need to live on a farm to wonder that.
Photographed from the Salisbury Reservation. Almost a real panorama, but I added the lighthouse because the picture needed it.

Started as a picture of this house after a snowstorm with the ground and trees covered with white snow. It took me only 10 modifications to turn it into this. Not my intention, but the original wasn't a great picture to begin with. At least this is more interesting.
It was winter, and I was driving around looking for something to photograph. Up on a hill right next to me was the horse and tree. This is the actual picture, and except for cropping I pretty much left it alone.
As usual, the horrible Flickr map program got the location wrong. It was photographed in Amesbury, MA and not Salisbury.

Went to Liberty State Park in Jersey City again early this morning. With a slightly different treatment this looks like an alien with a probe.
