Male Hamadryas baboon (Papio hamadryas) named "Wiley", born 5/21/2013 in North Carolina and now living as part of a large troop at the San Diego Zoo. Taking advantage of his handy cheek pouches, Wiley is collecting as many of the yummy primate biscuits as his face can hold. Conservation Status: Least Concern
A chipmunk with its cheeks stuffed with helicopter seeds. I really like this angle for the view of those chipmunk stripes.
I'm always fascinated how the jays can stuff the peanuts way back in their throats in order to make room for just one more!
I observed this really cute pair of sparrows in the garden this noon. It was so interresting to see the sparrows stuffing themselved with the tips of the conifer.
It is a cruel world for most wildlife. This red-winged blackbird poked himself in the chest with a sharp reed and he is losing all his stuffing.
(Photographed near Cambridge, MN)
This little red squirrel was so brave - he climbed right up onto the bench Carl was sitting on and stole one of his crackers.
Second photo of the series. The Ravioli were work in progress: a layer of fresh made pasta with the stuffing on ready to be transformed in delicious ravioli. All was worked very quickly so I had to be real fast to compose and shoot - good fun!
The young starlings are flooding into my garden and what a racket they make! Their insistent calling for food can't be ignored and their poor parents are rushing around stuffing food down gaping mouths.
During the rainy season in Ngorongoro Caldera, Tanzania, a large elephant with beautiful tusks stuffs a mouthful of fresh grass into his mouth. In the inside curve of his trunk you can see bits of grass falling to the ground.

I spent all day on wording, fonts, printing and doing the bows for our invitations. It got me a little excited for things to come, I must admit.
Our website (which also took me all day and still isn't finished quite yet) matches our invitations, which are handmade.
I had a "full circle moment" today.
Tara had to unexpectedly work today, and asked if I could keep an eye on Chloe.
I had several chores to do, and some prep work for tomorrow's dinner while she was hanging out.
One of the things on the list was to rip up the bread for the stuffing (DON'T ask why I do not use the already cubed stuff in the bag.........loooooong story, but, let's just say my Mother's voice would haunt me from beyond the grave if I did not shred that bread up myself!).
When I was a kid, my grandmother would come to our house...usually a couple of days before Thanksgiving.
I used to hang in the kitchen while she was doing the prep work for our big family get together. She would always sit me at the table with a stack of stale bread and have me rip it into a bowl.
When Chloe came into the kitchen today and asked if she could help I knew just what to do!
LOL! She LOVED it, and took the job very seriously.
I told her that the pieces couldn't be too big, and she really concentrated on getting the pieces just the right size!
.When I count all my blessing tomorrow, I'm going to have to count this kid twice!
After cutting the rope at different places the squirrel/chipmunk collects the pieces and stuffs it in its mouth and takes it away
A large muddy male elephant (Loxodonta africana) has just finished blowing grass and dirt up onto its back for protection from the sun and is now eating grass and leaves. This shot was captured just as the vegetation, including a small white flower in his trunk was being shoved into his mouth. Best larger to see the flower and the bits of vegetation falling form his mouth.

Dried bread for stuffing on Thursday. For Macro Mondays theme, "dried".
HMM!
I missed yesterday in my 365. I can't believe it, but so it is... and I carry on with my 364 :/
