Study Model of Excercise 04 Phase 02 Designed by our team leader Octavio Sanchez. He created an exhibition space using one module and by giving incremental variation the modules makes a wall that is curved.
In Z33 BUILDS study models and pictures of our new house for the arts designed by the Italian architect Francesca Torzo will be presented.
In 2012 the design team of the Italian architect Francesca Torzo won the international architectural competition for the renovation and extension of the exhibition building of Z33.
The architect from Genoa designed for the extension of Vleugel '58 a sober and intimate building that will fit effortlessly in the historical fabric of the surroundings and the city. The architecture – unpretentious and poetic – connects seamlessly with the stately exhibition building from 1958.
The construction will start in the summer of 2016 to be completed by the end of 2017.

The mess!!!
It's a decent snapshot of my personality: messy, yet somehow consistent. Patterns, piles, pink, lavender.

A research collaboration between CITA and MAPT/Copenhagen
The DevA research project investigates the use of curved sheet material in architecture using hybridised 3D modelling and pattern cutting techniques. The project explores how digital design and fabrication technologies enable the development of new structural concepts through the new means of material specification and detailing at unprecedented levels of precision.
The project employs a practice based hand-on method based on the development of speculative probes, material protoypes and demonstrators. This method allows us a direct insight into the techniques and material properties in working with steel anddevelopable surfaces.

fixed program (services, lifts, production spaces/wrkshops that are equipment-dependent) will exist in a bar that connects the existing bldg with the mountain topography (a bridge). inside the existing bldg is library/research - it will be segmented into small reading rooms divided only by open-slat walls (i think) and based on the existing plan, and the central corridors will serve as the 'stacks'.
the flexible program will exist on a raised floor that is enclosed by the circle/triangle membrane that all the study models are about. the 'bridge' cuts through it at a 4-degree slope providing a direct path from landscape to landscape. the membrane will be completely modifiable, leaving program placement fairly ambiguous - only in a few instances the floor will indicate any specific program usage (like an auditorium, etc) which will be seen as a visible figure from ground level underneath.
*DISCLAIMER : i make no promises that i will not change this strategy 5 times in the next month.

LIGHTBOX. The lightbox project was a study of the behavior of light when captured in a volume. The box was divided into several compartments which each dealt with a different set of conditions. It was then photographed in sunlight to study the effects produced.

LIGHTBOX INTERIOR STUDY II. Filtration, Measurement of time.

have yet to decide what this material will actually be... it's reading as stone now, but I wonder what changing it to a plastic or something digital / light related will do to the space?

Marco Sosa, the Danteum. 4/4 Study model for a conceptual model of the danteum. When all the spaces are deployed, a final room appears in the middle of the space, belonging to the empire. While the main path of the building is diacronic, the empire allows this sincronic vision of all the spaces at once [as mentioned here undertow.arch.gatech.edu/homepages/3sss/papers_pdf/22_kan...].

This is what the parts looked like when I received them. (This is a rather hastily assembled composite of two images).
Simple vase I modeled and rendered in Cinema 4D using HDRI and some new techniques I'm studying.
modeling time about 2 min
lightning time about 10 min
usual set up time until I get what I wanted - 20 min
render time about 10 to 15 seconds.
constructive critiques are welcome
sorry for the delay on uploading something.
panda hugs.

This is the "wheel quad". It's part of the "Can Truck" model and the LTS system in Lunatics ( lunatics.tv/wiki/Lander_Tugs ).
You can see the effect of the scan lines on the top of this model. The wheels were designed to turn, but I apparently didn't leave enough of a gap, as they are stuck. Interesting stuff.
