Trip Around the world sent to Karissa for the Stud anniversary swap. I thought about a few things with this design. First I love the trip around the world, second we lived halfway around the world in Italy when the swap started. I also used fabrics that Sidquilts sent me for one of our first swaps- the collection peace on earth. I made this by cutting the one each squares and sewing them together row by row...somehow very relaxing for me!

Though the distinguished madam exploring the jungle always kept to reserved and proper behavior that all changed once she discovered the naked wild jungle stud. Upon seeing the savage and his magnificent manhood the madam was overcome by lust. The jungle stud motions towards her while she grasps onto the jungleman's genitals.

Diverse City Theater Company (DCT) presents a star-studded cast for its mainstage production of NEA-honoree & multiple award winner Cassandra Medley’s play, NOON DAY SUN, winner of the Theatrefest Award for Best Play, directed by Victor Lirio.
NOON DAY SUN is a compelling play about identity and a woman’s flight from an undesirable past. Wendy, whose secret birth name is "Zena," is a Negro-identified woman who is passing for white. Suddenly on a "white hot day in August,” she crosses paths with her black husband from the past.
“This play profoundly explores and examines the universal resonance of ‘passing,'" said Victor Lirio, DCT's Founder & Artistic Director. "NOON DAY SUN is not just about race ... it is about identity and, ultimately, love. Every character in the play is passing as someone else to hide from an undesirable past. The core circumstance is quite extraordinary. We are thrilled to present NOON DAY SUN as our 2008 mainstage offering and a cast of stellar actors.”
NOON DAY SUN features:
- Helen Hayes Award Winner Gin Hammond* (The Syringa Tree)
- Obie Award Winner Ron Cephas Jones* (Gem of the Ocean, Jesus Hopped the A Train, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot)
- Melanie Nicholls-King* (HBO’s The Wire, Relativity)
- Michael McGlone (Brothers McMullen, The Kill Point)
- David Newer* (Dinner with Friends)
- Penelope Darcel*

Mini quilt received from Denise (Sewz4fun) as part of the January STUD (Swap Til You Drop) quilt swap - Sing It, Watch It, Read It. This is the cutest little bird cage quilt! She also sent the lyrics to her inspiration - Mockingbird, sung by James Taylor and Carly Simon. I've had the song stuck in my head all day! It's funny that she chose this song, because one of my top three choices for the quilt I'm sending her was To Kill a Mockingbird - good thing I settled on something else!
Creamy white button pearls surrounded by open dogwood petals. Set as studs, comfortable with no pokey bits!
