my baby is a stud!!
His 9U Baseball team played this weekend at the Javy Lopez Woodbat tournament and came in third. My baby is the catcher and he caught all 5 games and was SPECTACULAR!!! Even had another team asking him to play for them in an out of state tournament!!
Proud is an understatement . . . their team has more heart than I have ever seen!!! :)

Rowsley '86 (red & black strip) and Blidworth Welfare battle for the ball during the former's second game as a Step Seven club. The hosts came from behind at the Recreation Ground to draw 1-1 a Central Midlands League, South Division fixture. Had they not squandered a number of chances, Rowsley would have won comfortably. Visitors Blidworth finished the match a player down after the stoppage time dismissal, for a petulant late tackle, of young substitute Carl Gould.

The silver studded are just starting to emerge in the forest. This one stayed still for a few seconds whilst I took his photo. Alas with the dull and wet weather it may be a while before i am able to try again.

...and now i come to think about it, it makes me think of selkie too, for her wonderful use of white space in so many of her pictures...
