THE GOLDEN HOUR (4) - Tree in Flooded Stubble Field.
Taken 28 January 2013 in Condac, near Ruffec in the Charente.
Camera: Nikon D300. Post-processed in Adobe Lightroom 5.
I did a quick drive through past some stubble fields to see if any geese were in and found that the fields had a shimmering golden sheen against the sun. This is gossamer - millions and millions of tiny spiderwebs reflecting the setting sunlight. I have seen this before but not on such an industrial scale - it went on for miles and miles
“I could feel my body tremble
Heard a rumour of a war
Then I saw the heavens open
Like I've never seen before
And now the end
Can you feel the desecration
Has just begun
The invasion of disgrace
Your kingdom come
Can you feel the desolation
Your will be done
Cos you're staring it in the face
I could feel my spirit rising
As I think of Your return
To reclaim the adoration
And the glory You deserve”
Malachi 4 “For behold, the Day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the Day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the LORD of hosts, “That will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; And you shall go out and grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the Day that I do this,” Says the LORD of hosts.
“Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful Day of the LORD. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.”

Freeling, South Australia
Flushed this one off the side of a quiet dirt track late one night... to my surprise it landed on the track about 30m away allowing some nice open shots as it sat waiting for the danger to pass.

Newley cropped stubble channeled towards starkly silhouetted trees, there spindly fingers pointing to the ominous cloying grey of the impending downpour.
