I needed to provide not only a "dipping structure" for the two vellum rings I made, about to be covered in wax. I also needed to open the "eyelets" of the vellum. Otherwise the wax would seal them shut and reduce the "mushroom gills" effect I was striving for.
After building the initial treepee I decided it was time to create a living treepee. One that with time, strength would increase and live and thrive for as long as it's meant too. This video is the 6 days it took to build the support structure that will help train the plant life to grow on and up. In time the structure will no longer be needed to support the plant growth and what will be left is the self supporting treepee.
