My wife's aunt has this piano in her house, it's a beautiful, ornate model, from last century. Almost any angle of this piano is beautiful, but I wanted to capture the intricacies of the strings and inner-workings.

This week's Illustration Friday is strings so I decided to get literal and use it as my materials. This is sewn with some cotton yarn into a scrap of lokta paper I had laying around. It was fun doing something different for a change. I have been doing a LOT of work at the computer lately.

During their first masterclass at the Creative Strings Workshop, the group worked with Duncan Wickel and learned "The Leading Role" - a great fiddle tune.
Pluck the strings and watch the waveforms appear, seemingly in slow motion, before your eyes.
