Just seems I can't ever get enough of music - and today I just learned that Etta James passed away. "At Last", is just one of my all time favorites.....
ArtPrize has begun...went downtown last night for a couple hours. This painting of Billy Strings, (bluegrass musician) was at Palatte Coffee and Art. The artist, Michi Farias and her parents own the coffee shop and are artists themselves. My husband and I saw Billy perform at Meijer Gardens in 2015. Michi's painting is so well done!!!

Alex's new violin. Here's the cool thing. As I was loading this to post he just shouted out from his bedroom that he had just read an email saying that he passed his audition to play in the next higher level orchestra at Duke Strings School this year. Exciting news for this young man.
