Had some fun playing around with fairy lights today..

I was happy to see that SecondSnaps group gift for May is this cute ballet barre set with color changing curtains. I love it! Also I need to mention my lovely ballet outfit by Sharodie Designs. We slipped off the main street and suddenly Pilsen went quiet.

A narrow side lane, cobblestones still warm with lamplight, and those small green bulbs hanging above like a trail of fireflies. For a moment it felt like the whole city was holding its breath.

Three days skiing, two days of school, and already going back for five more days in Mammoth! How lucky am I?? I can't get over it :D

I went ice skating tonight!! [in LA!] So much fun :D I've only been once before, and I think I was about 9 or 10. I love trying new things, plus it gives me a chance to laugh at myself which is always fun! I'm also amazed at how you can be in such weather extremes in California -- 20F in Mammoth, drive 5 hours and it's 80F in LA, hah.

And here you see my latest eBay victory -- Tecnica Moon Boots! I've wanted these for years, and they rarely come on eBay in my size, much less price range. I originally lost the auction by 5 cents [!!] then got a second chance offer two weeks later... Mineminemine. YAY! :D Got such a great deal on them. They make me want to go shovel a driveway full of snow hahah.. or just tumble into it.

Today's prompt was to take a photo of our view from outside with blurred elements in both the foreground and the background and focus on something in the middle.

We are those people who still have their Christmas lights up (yes, I promise they won't still be up in July) so I decided to play around with them. A string in front is blurred as well as the strings in the back and the neighborhood background.

I love how powerful the correct aperture can make a photo.
