I started making these ornaments for a craft fair which never took place. The design is based on the string art I did in school as a kid.
This one is pretty well completed... In the past couple of days I've experimented with a messy project... making string & glue ornaments.
I was inspired by a How-to blog, by Ruffles

I hung a disco ball inside the bell, so it can spin and play with the light.
I used a thin, white, cotton string, and kinda wish I'd left it white,( instead of spraying it silver.)
A fun project to do on a sunny day.

This one is a string art piece inspired by the Pink Floyd album "The Dark Side of the Moon" (1973). It is made of steel nails and strings, on a wooden background. The refraction of the light is also made of strings.
All of my artwork is handmade and available at www.thestringartstudio.etsy.com.

This is a detail of a string art tree, inspired by some fairy tale of my childhood.... An actual tree branch pops out of the piece, on which a handmade swing is attached.
All of it is made of wood, 1500 nails and strings.
All of my artwork is handmade and available at www.thestringartstudio.etsy.com.
