A happy accident this,I made a short video but forgot that the camera was set for doing long exposure shots,so it filmed at just 4 frames per second.
By looping the video three times and speeding it up I managed to rescue it,quite a strange effect...
I love Spring when all the wet weather streams are rolling!

It was deeper than it looks here. MJ went first and got one of her boots wet (later leading to a mushroom foot), so I took mine off and crossed in my sandals.

The stream had clearly frozen over recently, but since the weather had warmed up a little, the stream had dried up, leaving this sheet of ice hovering over the stream supported only the clumps of grass and reed it was frozen to.
Two of my father's older sisters spent the last few decades of their lives in a house adjacent to this stream, and it is a place dear in the memories of many of their nieces and nephews, including me. This view was taken from a bridge over the creek nearby, and the house itself is masked by new-growth forest at upper-right. Sadly, the house is now abandoned and being subsumed back into nature.
Didn't have much time to get any good shots, and it's such a gloomy time of year. These latest shots are located adjacent to the ball field in Mahwah, NJ by Airmont Road. Still too cold for me. Brrrr! Praise the Lord anyway!
