We seriously have the most dramatic snails here at home. This little dude was sitting on a rock in the stream. I wonder how he got off - I mean, can snails even swim? haha. XD (Googled it right after typing this, fyi, and it appears that some species can. So I'm going to assume this dude is one of them.)
Seneca Improved View 5x7, Osaka Wide Field 120mm f/6.3, New Guy collodion (fresh)
~f/13, 25 seconds
During exposure the sun decided to show itself so I stopped exposing about 10 seconds sooner than I'd originally calculated. Glad I did because this plate is definitely overexposed. I find shooting streams like this, as you could on film, doesn't really work with collodion. Too much distraction. Especially with the UV light reflecting off the surface.

Chunbuldong valley (Biseondae trail)
Soraksan National Park
Gangwondo, South Korea
The Biseondae trail and the Chunbuldong stream are running close to parallel together. Therefore, one can enjoy the sound of the running water and admire the views this beautiful valley has to offer at the same time. I advice visitors to take their time, slowly take in all the sights and sounds, as the journey is much better than the destination. You might miss a lot of photographic opportunities if you just rush through the trail!
In this shot, clouds are rolling in, hence providing nice soft light. With the added help of the CPL filter, the exposure time can be slowed sufficiently for the water motion to be captured. A tripod is a definite must!
1 exp, CPL and slight editing in Photoshop.
