So, anytime I go out of town I have to check thrift stores in the area. Thankfully having my iPhone makes things SO much easier than going through the hotel phone book for addresses like I used to do. Anyway, we went to 5 thrift stores in the Newport News/Williamsburg areas. I found a Barbie binder and a Hunchback of Notre Dame card. Tonight I went to my local thrift store here and found all the toys in the back. I do still really want to move but leaving this thrift store may be impossible.

This spring-fed stream cuts through a large acidic baygall, and is full of rare and unusual plants.

Snow melt from the nearby Folgefonna glacier: tasted great, and refreshing as we hiked up to Setehaug.

Walking along the trail to the paint pots in Kootenay National Park British Columbia. The color is from the ochre beds.

This stream opened for fishing yesterday, it had been closed for a couple of months to allow the rainbow trout to spawn. It resides in a fairly residential area and it seemed that it had already been fished hard.
