The summer has been nipped in the bud in the high country and the nights are taking on a chill down on the flats. The foliage is in a stage of green to gone so the colors will be here for but fleeting days and we all have places to be. The stream will flow to the pond.
The Shounter Nullah joins river Neelum at this place (Kel) and leads to Gilgit Agency over the Shounter Pass (4,420 meter). Kel is also a base camp of mountaineering activities up to “ Sarawaal peak” 6326 meters above sea level and “Sarawaali Glacier” which are said to be the highest peak and biggest glacier of Azad Kashmir.

I haven't done a HDR photo for a while (well I haven't done any photos for a while) so as we had a brief appearance from Mr. Sun I thought now would be as good a time as any.
This is the stream/brook at the back of my house. I used the orton technique to soften it up a bit, make it a bit dreamy.

Bordering Fourth Gap Road, the stream descends the mountains in a narrow, rocky, hemlock- and rhododendron-filled valley before joining White Deer Hole Creek to the north.

A stream flows through wild countryside. This is at a lower level where the autumn colours had not yet reached.
Hot work , off path on Bleaklow all day , time for a cooling paddle .
The terrain is full of groughs , sometimes 2m high, every few metres , up and down scrambling ,slipping and sliding , and where there are no groughs , heather and bracken impede progress. Hot work indeed.
