We had crossed the Northern Cascade Mountains in north Washington to Glacier National Park in Montana. It was a quick drive through Glacier National Park on account of the heavy traffic. We would have loved to stop and hike the numerous trails but without a place to park it wasn't possible. Consequently, sooner than we would have liked we were at the Canadian border. This picture is at Glacier NP.

This is a close-up photo of ice formations in a shallow stream flowing across Clam Harbour Beach. The image has been mirrored and copied twice to be symmetrical. The detail is best seen full screen.

Seeing the stream at water level at dawn.

He much prefers the stream water to the tap water!

The village of Ninilchik, Alaska, taken from the beach access road off the Homer Highway. The water id the Ninilchik River, which runs into the Cook Inlet at the end of the village (off the left side of the image).

A bunch of wild primroses on the banks of a stream in the forest at Ennerdale catching the sun.

I had a hard time with this one. It had the extremes of brightness and shadows, and nothing looked right. Cropped it to this section and presto... something to be happy with.

Experimenting with the camera at this wee stream.. Near Alness in the Highlands.

An unnamed waterfall of Oturere Stream. Tongariro National Park.

Scene captured from the Bridal Veil. It sure was refreshing to be there with the mist cooling your face, but it got a little bit chilly when the sun faded away :).

Water flowing down a North Wales river

This stream has been revealed because the silt in the lake is being dug out. Before it could be dug out it had to be drained - rain and snow causes little streams to appear.

This peaceful mountain stream was photographed is western North Carolina near the town on Andrews. See this, and more, on my website at www.tom-claud.pixels.com.

DJZ_3716-Edit: Road 15 connects to US14A in two places . . . at Burgess Junction (where US14A breaks off of US14) and 16 miles west of Burgess Junction. I prefer to drive an extra 16 miles to the upper end of Road 15 as it is 1,100 feet higher at 9,300 feet, than the Burgess Junction connection at 8,200 feet, so you are driving down hill most of the way on Road 15. Road 15 is 25 miles long. This is in the Bighorn mountains, in north-central Wyoming, USA. US14A is closed in the winter.

Small waterfall in Middleton park woods.

Long exposure rapids next to an old tree which has seen it all before and has the scars to prove it (on the left in this shot). It's roots are constantly eroded by the monsoon surges of water, which can sometimes reach 2-meters in hight through this narrow chasm, and tsunami-like walls of water caused by fallen trees damming the watercourse or landslides upstream.

As the sea retreats, the sea water returns creating beautiful streams along the beach. I found this as I took a morning stroll along Skegness beach.
