Pine trees line a Rocky Mountain stream in Vail, Colorado. This was taken near the Antlers at Vail Resort.

Long exposure (at least the longest I could make it in the bright light) 1/5 sec, f22, B+W two stop ND + Cokin 3 stop ND.
Canon EF-S 17-85 f/4-5.6@ f22, 17mm.
I think it turned out well despite a desire for a longer exposure, it still leaves some of the more ferocious qualities of the stream, insted of rendering it all silky smooth.
I was fortunate to attend one of photographer Øyvind Martinsen's (www.m-art.no) photographic workshops at Dovre this autumn.
An excellent 4 days spent in one of Norway's national parks at Dovrefjell with opportunities to shoot splendid sunrises and sunsets as well as Musk oxen, raindeer, moose, fall colours and the amazing scenery of the park and it's surroundings.
A little bit late again on this 365 photo, Day 4.
As we took down the Christmas Tree today, our cat, Meezer, decided that one section of our fake tree was a bush that was meant to be a hiding place for him. Basically, invisible without moving some branches out of the way. He’s quite the adventurous, teddy bear type!

this is the feeder stream that feeds into jackhouse reservoir, it originates on the moors above oswaldtwistle
Just realised i hadn't posted any of my current hand pieced project. From a pattern in Down Under quilts last year. I have been cutting from Marti Michell's templates and hand piecing, stitching point to point.
Some folks have been asking about this photo. Here's the untouched version.
Long extension cord + laptop feeding tv the photo + bottle of water.
Photoshop clone filter killed the cord and helped punch the colors and contrast.
Lake Davis, California, Plumas National Forest, Sierra Nevada Mountains
Caught this stream from the corner of my eye when driving down the road from our camping site. The dark wooded area, highlighted by the bright blue water, was too much for me to resist wanting the shot. Like any other half-crazed photographer, I found myself slamming on the brakes, rolling down the passenger window, grabbing the camera, taking the shot, and, with camera still in hand, pulling away down the road as if nothing happened out of the ordinary.
Naturally, I was pleased, after-the-fact, to find I was the only one on the road.
