Another shot from around Chilliwack mountain... the stream rising from the water channel caught my eye.

Any thoughts on the picture? What works well? Where could I improve?

1980 Polished Chrome Zippo Handilite Table Lighter

First manufactured in 1979, the uncommon Zippo Handlite is a wonderfully simple, functional table lighter design: a famous, Zippo flip-top pocket lighter lighter mounted on a pedestal for table top use. Date coded from 1980, this early Handilite and features polished chrome finish with a three-color, factory enameled advertisement for Montgomery Tank Lines. The enamel design is in perfect condition with no chips or flaws. The reflective chrome plating has some minor scuffs, but no major scratches, dents, or pings.

This Handilite looks to have only been lightly used and is in very good condition. I've removed a bit of char/soot from the wind guard, cleaned the file wheel, installed a new Zippo wick, repacked the fuel chamber and restored this uncommon Zippo table lighter to like-new working condition. It is fine working order for everyday use and will be shipped with a flint and without fluid. (If you don't plan to use this lighter occasionally, please remove the flint so it does not deteriorate and become impacted over time.)

The Zippo Handylite was introduced in 1979. It was manufactured in various finishes till 1999 in Bradford, United States. This table lighter is a simple combination of a traditional Zippo pocket lighter and an attachable pedestal base.

The lighter can be removed from the pedestal (which could be purchased separately) and used as a normal Zippo pocket lighter. Most regular size Zippo lighters are adaptable to Handilite. The lighter base is padded with black felt and it is marked:

Mexican free-tailed bats stream from a Tucson bridge at dusk. These insectivorous bats are very important to the control of insect pest populations, but their numbers are on the decline due to pesticide contamination and destruction of roosting habitat. They are found in Tucson during the warmer months and migrate to Mexico in the winter.

While we were in the Kawarthas, we did a couple hikes through the Silent Lake Provincial Park. I wasn't expecting to see much in the "deep woods" but it turns out that was my favorite part. There were many little water falls, streams and ponds throughout the woods. Great hiking area

one of many wildflowers that also find their home, safe from the deer, in the garden. Outside the fence, the deer are responsible for making these lovely flowers scarce where they would otherwise proliferate.
