SOOC

My first go at a moving water image. Not very original or inventive but wanted to give it a go.

Taken using a 1 second shutter speed without a tripod (so if you look too close it's probably blurred!) another image from today :)

This was right after our big blizzard of February 12th. This is a little stream in central New Jersey

Ran upon this small stream trickling through the lush rain forest while, walking on the Juan De Fuca Marine Trail near Port Renfrew, B.C.

Find myself beside a stream of empty thought,

Like a leaf that's fallen to the ground,

And carried by the flow of water to my dreams

Woken only by your sound.

Alone I've walked this path for many years,

Listened to the wind that calls my name.

The weeping trees of yesterday look so sad,

Await your breath of spring again.

Far beyond the hills,

Where earth and sky will meet again,

Are shadows like an opening hand.

Control the secrets

That I've yet to find, and wonder at

The light in which they stand.

The view looking towards Loch Tummel

Been dying to try one of these shots since forever. Unfortunately, not many falls (even small ones like this) in Florida.

I'll cross the stream – I have a dream

Just an iphone pic but so cute of then all tired out after coming back from the park. Looks like they are joined at the hip:):)

This is one of the small streams that run onto the beach at Druidston Haven. I liked flow against the angled piece of shale at the base of the cascade. I used a polariser to lighten the reflection on the lump of shale.

Crossed a covered bridge and saw this idyllic spot...

A small stream of river flowing under the bridge surrounded by trees with perfect fall colors

Today was an absolutely gorgeous autumn day so we went for a walk and stumbled across this beautiful little stream.

North Adams, Ma.

This is an absolutely beautiful piece. It is a video remembrance of the Messenger Pigeon, which became extinct 100 years ago. The installation is in a long, narrow gallery, and basically viewed from the stairwell across from the screen. The video depicts a huge flock of pigeons, (they were known to number in the millions per flock), flying from the tree, up the wall, and across the ceiling... first in amazing numbers, then to one, final, single bird. It is accompanied by beautifully moving soundtrack.
