An edit of a photo I took in the fall of 2006. Continuing to try out Pixelstyle Photo Editor. I used the artistic "Cartoon" artistic filter and adjusted the settings until I got something I liked. The app is neat and free(!) but it definitely updates the preview image sluggishly. One cannot have everything.

An edit of a photo I took in the summer of 2006 with my then-new Canon EOS 30D DSLR and its "better" kit lens, the EF-S 17-85mm F/4-5.6 IS USM. This was my first second go with Pixelstyle Photo Editor. I used the artistic "Cartoon" artistic filter and adjusted the settings until I got something I liked. The app is neat and free(!) but it definitely updates the preview image sluggishly. One cannot have everything.

In the Briton backcountry, a little rivers shreds the forest and aims for the sea.

This is my "Knitting Kit" for traveling with a small project. I did a gestural setup and colored pencils and ink last. I think this is my favorite type of set-up.

This little stream is located along the Blue Ridge Parkway at the Humpback Rocks Visitor Center in Nelson County, Virginia. I took this shot from a small bridge crossing the stream.

Spring Snowmelt in the Cascades

Seen in the morning these grass strands were barely above the stream on the very cold winters night.
