We had GORGEOUS weather. After 30+ SPF sunscreen failed on the first two days, and layers of zinc oxide failed on the next day, Jamey pulled out the bandana.

Reflections of tree branches in an autumn stream.

Our last day in Wales and with the sun shining (!!!!) we headed off to a local waterfall not 5 mins from the cottage.

Fabulous place, like a little lost world…the colours are amazing and with the sun breaking through the tree canopy a 100 feet or so up it was rather magical.

We cocked about behind the waterfall…well you just have too really…got some slow motion effect type shots and then walked to the very top…where you’ll find that all the trees and undergrowth obscure the view !

Dan suggested I take this to show the patterns of the sun coming through the trees. I still had a polarizer on my lens from photographing the mountain, had no tripod, and was getting tired and lazy. I thought it was too dark in the woods, but I took it anyway. It has a cluttered look, but is a typical Oregon stream.

Week 3 Day 2 - Die Cut Techniques

I tried the embossing die cuts technique Jennifer demonstrated today. I like the effect but it took a while. Those skinny flower stems just about got the best of me. :-) No stamping on this card. I dry brushed some white paint on the kraft paper and sponged some distress in on the tiny accent strip to get the pool and purple colors.

Agumbe, the homeland of the King Cobras! Apart from the King, the forest has other wildlife too. Leopards, Sambar deer, mouse deer, barking deer, gaurs, malabar giant squirrels, slender loris and langurs are found in this rain forest.

The sun came out this morning after yesterday's storm. This is a panorama of two images of a local stream.

A re-edit of a photo I took over 15 years ago with my then-new Canon EOS 30D DSLR and its "better" kit lens, the EF-S 17-85mm F/4-5.6 IS USM. Revisiting the image, I made adjustments and applied a lookup table in Luminar 4 then I loaded it into Photoshop for some further tweaking.
