Strobist details: So, there's a Godox AD200 into a softbox to the right, then I added a pair of TT600's with blue gels right next to each other so that they'd cycle a bit faster.. And then there's another salmon gel on the TT600 on the ground pointed upwards. All four of those were triggered by the XProO in my hotshoe

I already had several Hervic black leather straps but couldn't resist this dark brown version with Fastex quick releases. These old leather straps are so soft and supple, plus they are wide where they need to be, on the back of your neck.
Strobe info: SB900 above model, yn465 at camera right and left thru soft box, gridded

The enigmatic painting of the Wayfarer/Pedlar ('Marskramer') by Hieronymus Bosch, is actually made up of two back panels from a former triptych as it looked in closed condition, and was later recut in its present octagonal shape.
I love the detail of the soldier in a brothel. He wears the new early 16th century shoes ('pinsons' with a strap and an instep that is mostly uncovered) and typical squarish tassets. His breastplate is attached by straps running diagonally over his back. Also note the fashionable striped boulevars (upper hoses) of the day.
I got the chance to have a private look at this remarkable painting, thanks to fellow Belgian Ruben Suykerbuyk, curator Old Masters at the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum :)
I wasn't sure whether to share the front view or the back, so I decided to upload both versions at once.
I love these.
Getting Phoebe's black shoes just made me want Bloomy's brown pair even more D:
And I'm not sure I need Beatrice Vest's.. right now, I don't. Maybe if I found Bloomy's I'd become obsessed with them..
update: found Beatrice's shoes. Now I ache for Bloomy's even more..
Must be
…jelly cuz jam don’t shake like that.
An impromptu trip to the Goodwill Outlet yielded this jelly purse. I don’t love that it’s plastic, but I do like the colors, shape, and strap. For less than a dollar, it’s a fun experiment.

All I knew of Toronto
Toronto was a pleasant surprise. It was much nicer than I expected.
Margaret Atwood’s book Robber Bride was all I knew of Toronto before I arrived on Monday. She doesn’t paint a pretty picture of the town. I was expecting nothing but cold, concrete, and gray. Instead, I was delighted with sun, water, and spring blooms.
