A handmade leather pouch that I use for my pencils and other drawing gear.
I bought it a few years ago from a sympathetic and talented craftsman in small French village. This was his last few months of activity before retirement and he was feeling a bit nostalgic, knowing that nobody would take over the shop and perpetuate the work he did for a lifetime.

Happy Macro Monday everyone.
Not sure if this is real leather or a very good imitation, but hopefully it'll do :) It's the end of the wrist strap on my Olly Pen-F.
I'm off out for the day and will try and catch up with everyone this evening ... tiz a Bank Holiday Monday here in the UK and I'm going to the Jack in the Green festivities in Hastings.
The new teaching block F4 on campus is really photogenic, especially during midday when harsh shadows fall on the staircase.

Here's my first attempt at building a rover for Febrovery.
I used a number of parts from the Lego Ocean Exploration Submarine and a LEGO dots strap that dictate the color combination.

for Macro Mondays "Sun safety". For me part of being protected when out in the sun is wearing a hat. This is the adjustment strap on one of my favourite hats - a souvenir from an aircraft museum that used to be in the north end of Toronto, at Downsview Airport, which used to be an RCAF airfield in World War II. It was next door to a de Havilland Canada plant that made the famous Mosquito fighter-bomber.
