We found this snake on the backroad. It was pretty laid back and didn't mind being handled. We made sure to release it into the grass.
This was about average--some pictures were a little darker or lighter depending on what I tried. I was totally unsuccessful at capturing lightning since the thunderstorm died well west of Chicago and I barely managed to see its last lightning flashes when I was out at the western edge of Kane County.
