After Uluru, we flew to Brisbane as an overnight stopover to the Whitsunday Islands. We only had an afternoon there so went for a walk along the Brisbane River… it’s long, very long! There are plenty of pubs and restaurants along the way so we stopped off at Felons Brewing Co just beyond the Story Bridge to watch the world go by.
I’d planned to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge this trip, but apparently you can climb this one as well.

The great "Portugal Stopover" scheme of this A330 finally registered by me... in a better way. This was the second time this jet came here, but my pic wasn't good at the first time. This one looks nice to me. I like this scheme, very fresh and colorful! Seen here taxiing to the terminal after arrival as TAP 35 from Lisbon. Now I have all the special colored A330-300s of TAP!

Stopover .. the old Queensport Tavern from 1864 . Interesting the terminology Teamsters as a reference to trucks and trucking companies , one that goes back to the horse and bullock wagon days of the past . Then theres the word Horse Power , a terminology still is use today to describe the power output of the internal combustion engine . HP is being phased out in favour of KW , which I still find confusing and now with the introduction of electrical powered vehicles , horse power seems an obsolete terminology , but almost all people interested in cars , trucks or whatever understand Horse Power and don't we all owe so much to the horse .
Long live Horse Power .

Conrail RS32 2031 stands outside the Maryland & Delaware engine house in Federalsburg, Maryland Although the 1961 Alco looks rough, the M&D forces rehabilitated it to operating condition. It’s questionable whether it ever worked on the M&D, but it was transferred to the Arkansas & Missouri where it had a long career as its 42, and later, 30.

I'm really proud to present you my part for the 1920collabproject that was led by Zbudujmy to! LUG members and friends. The collab is based on Jakub Różalski's painting's. More specifically his 1920+ universe, which is also known from iron harvest RTS video game.
I built a scene, where two soldiers made a stopover in the woods. They rest and eat something over a campfire, and their mech is standing nearby waiting for them.
The mech was inspired by BordJaskier mech. He is also taking a part in collab, so he let me use his design and I modified it a bit.

A quick stopover at home.
I've driven past these willow trees at least 100 times in the last few years, as they're located just a hundred meters from the highway (A4 between Ottendorf Okrilla and Pulsnitz). And almost every time, they called to me, and I knew I had to take a closer look at them sometime. Well, finally, sometime was last week.
And even though the weather was rainy and gray all day (basically, all week), I was lucky that the clouds parted shortly before sunset, and I was blessed with this magical view.
So I didn't even care that I came home with wet feet again because of the deep, rain-soaked grass I had to walk through.
Ein kurzer Zwischenstop in der Heimat.
An diesen Weiden bin ich in den letzten Jahren schon mindestens 100 Mal vorbei gefahren, denn sie stehen nur hundert Meter von der Autobahn entfernt (A4 zwischen Ottendorf Okrilla und Pulsnitz). Und so ziemlich jedes Mal haben sie nach mir gerufen und ich wusste, die muss ich mir irgendwann einmal genauer ansehen. Nun. Irgendwann war schlußendlich letzte Woche.
Und obwohl das Wetter den ganzen Tag über (im Grunde die ganze Woche) regnerisch und grau war, hatte ich Glück, dass sich kurz vor Sonnenuntergang die Wolkendecke öffnete und ich mit diesem magischen Anblick beschenkt wurde.
Da war es mir dann auch egal, dass ich, wegen dem tiefen regennassen Gras durch das ich laufen musste, mal wieder mit nassen Füßen nach Hause gekommen bin.
