A good way to start out a night, three vodkashots of different mixes.

WHERE IN THE WORLD: i met up with a rec league volleyball team today to play a few short games before officially joing the group that usually plays thursday nights in stapleton. but, since tonight was just a meet and greet it was at a giant warehouse filled with sand and nets in broomfield.

said warehouse was incredibly difficult to find and i drove around in many circles. these pics are from loop number two around what i eventually discovered was the correct location of the volleyball action.

everyone on the team was nice and it felt so good to play again as its been so long. it was a new experience for me as i've always played court volleyball; the sand almost makes it a new game all around. three words i never thought i'd have in my life together...

Actually a great design. The two outer red lights are big and bold and really grab your attention and let you know the light is red. The inner lights are green and yellow. They're all different shapes, too, presumably to help people with color blindness.

This is in Amherst, Nova Scotia, while I was looking for a unique-to-Nova Scotia donair (which is presumably reminiscent of the döner kebabs I had in Germany and the kebabs in Turkey and gyros in Greece). I did find one at a fast-food restaurant between the center of town and the highway, but I didn't like the sauce. I'm not sure if it was terribly authentic, though, so I may try another one next time I'm in the area.
