Project 365 Day 178
The original concept for this photo didn't pan out, so I did what I could to save it. This is the view at one of the intersections in the downtown district of my little town.
Blog post here.
I put an 1157 LED tail light/brake light bulb inside and wired it to the stop light. The black cover is actually a smoke tinted red cover. I need to find a brighter bulb as the smoke color makes the light too dull.
This guy was dancing with a stick with fire on both ends, I just had to take the picture, to sad there was to much traffic and I couldnt stop a bit more...
Este cuate estaba bailando con una vara con fuego en los extremos y no me resisti a tomar la foto, lastima que iba yo moviendome en el coche, me hubiera gustado pararme para tomarle mas fotos...

In all of the 250 square miles of Penns Valley, there are only three intersections with stop lights. We have a lot of traffic, but I am guessing we only have three because the people of Penns Valley really don't like to be told what to do. We enjoy our independence and autonomy. It is a big part of our identity.
It's not all chaos. We do have stop signs, but some think they are more like suggestions...

Steve got a cookie from Miette at the Ferry Building last weekend. The label said it was a "financier," which is apparently a little French cookie/cake. I got another gingerbread cupcake with cream cheese frosting, so I didn't have to take photos of it.
Same intersection as before, but this time with a traffic officer in the shot (without the complete sign) Instead of traffic lights, Mexico primarily had all shapes of speedbump, and where extra guidance was needed, an officer with a whistle.
