A challenging picture which took a long time to structure. The Red Kite was almost extinct in the UK a few decades ago, today it has made a fantastic recovery especially in Wales. I wanted to emphasise the feeling of speed as the bird dives so it has been broken as if it is falling apart and leaving a comet-like trail behind it. I think you can get that impression as it cuts its way through the air.
