I've taken the same picture three different times. This one is special though. It has no bus because of the transit strike. So that means that no sketchy bus riders will be sitting on my stoop or contemplating trying to get into the vestibule for warmth. Beautiful.

Winster is of course the other side of Darley Dale which is indicated on the modern sign

'Bout an inch of hail on our front stoop in Brooklyn. This was already 15 mins after the storm...

Posing with Blue's Clues. We brought him with us because she kissed him goodbye so I said what the heck, bring the little plastic guy with us.

An abandoned and decrepit brownstone / row house in Jersey City. I took this photo a while back, so I have no idea what ever became of this place.

On Sunday, Dec. 20, the ashes of Michael Stoops, a prominent advocate for people experiencing homelessness, were given a final resting place at Luther Place Memorial Church.

 

Luther Place's Rev. Brau presided. Stoops's friends and colleagues, Julie Turner and Megan Hustings, spread his ashes.

 

The ceremony was live-streamed due to social distancing limitations in accordance with CDC guidelines. It led into opening remarks for 24 hours of activity organized around National Homeless Persons Memorial Day.
