Steps a couple houses down from friends with whom I stayed. In Chinese culture, the matriarch of an extended family chooses a lucky color for the family using a combination of astrology and gut feeling. Often, the house is then painted that color, leading to a wider and brighter range of colors than one would see in a city without such cultural influence.
Here is my new front steps, stoop and iron railings.
Project began in late August, completed in mid-November.
A stoop in the West Village with gorgeous tulips. Just looks like the epitome of a new york city stoop to me.
