The Gamecock Cottage is an historic building located at Stony Brook in New York. It was built in 1876 for storage of oars and sliding-seat rowboats and is the only remaining wooden beach cottage that was part of West Meadow Beach.
It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
The Pub the Bull and the pub that is next to it but out of view was the Cock hence the origin of the Cock and Bull stories from many years ago.
Some roads we have to go are rocky. They slow down to get to our destination. But with a little patience we can do it.

This is the river Dart at Dartmeet Devon UK - clicked a few years ago now, but the moment I saw the fotos on my hard drive I was Instantly reminded of the tricky and slippy terrain and the fabulous ancient woodland one has to clamber through to get to this little cascade.
