The high art of hand stitching leather over a simple wood frame.
I'm not sure what this stich is called in the sewing world but in my universe it's called a "power cable stitch." It is often used to sew burlap and other cloth bags shut but the entire stitch can then be pulled out by tugging on one thread to open the bag. For the Macro Mondays challenge, Stitch.

Stitched panoramic / EXIF data from first image in series
There was a large group of white pelicans out in the Blackwater Refuge while we were there. They were far off in the distance, but was able to reach them with the long lens. To get both groups in one image, it did take four images, and stitching them together with the long lens.

Even though this weeks theme is stitches, I like the composition of this photo, where the stitches of this shoe aren't really the focus. I feel that it reflects the oversight that many people have regarding stitches and how they go unnoticed in daily life.
This is why I love macro photography.
