Back down to the riverside, I wasn't planning on taking another photo, let alone a stitch, but when I saw the reflections, I couldn't help myself. Maybe the river will be within its banks by my next visit.
I took three vertical shots to make this one. With cropping, I didn't need to do it that way, but I wanted to experiment.

I'm always looking for fun and different things to photograph while in Disney. I saw this little guy while on my way out of the Tower of Terror. I was playing around with the depth of field on this shot and focused on stitch's name tag. That allowed for a nice blurred out background creating what I think, is a much better shot. Have a magical day!
These photos are of very small areas of machine embroidery I did a while ago. The first seven are from a Gelli print I made on pure cotton, overpainted with Lumiere paints, stitched by machine and beaded by hand. Maybe I'll post the whole piece so this makes sense!
I saw a photo of Latenightowl's raccoon's belly with her recent spaying stitches and thought it would be nice if Taj would show hers. I got the camera, walked into my bedroom and there the pair of them were - just like this - only asleep! Even when she is sleeping Taj always keeps her feet and legs bent, unlike Kita who is usually reaching for the other side of the room when he sleeps. You can see by their faces and Kita's paw positiion how cute and cuddly they were sleeping with Taj's belly up in the sunlight.
I started with a sketch on paper and then placed it on top of a canvas (from the £ shop). Then I pricked over the design with a pin. I used the holes to backstitch over the design in black and added fabric scraps for pops of colour.

Seated on a low wooden box along a street in Puerto Princesa, a shoemaker repairs a worn shoe by hand, stitch by stitch.
The work is quiet and unhurried—learned through repetition, carried forward not as memory, but as necessity.

I have found that if you stitch newspaper using a grid system and then wet it and rub it, the paper disinterates back to the sitiching line. You can help it along by cutting out part of the paper.
This is a wonderful base for paint and further stitching
