stink bug on cello

I saw two of these, a red one and a white one, a few years ago, and didn't know what they were until someone on Flickr IDd them for me. This is the first time I've seen them again, and I wasn't able to get the shots I wanted, but I thought that this one at least shows how pretty it is.

I'm guessing these are stink bug eggs given the sheer number of stink bugs we had this year. I found these on David's Chiltepe Pepper plant.

It started crawling along the edge of the water tray and I just panned with it. It was practically dark out (and it was an hour later than the EXIF shows) The Fuji has the most intelligent control of fill flash of any digicam I've owned.
