I photographed this one of a kind old truck in Bend, OR. People familiar with DIVCO trucks (which stands for Detroit Industrial Vehicles Company) know that they are most famous for this iconic rounded line step van delivery truck which was introduced to the market in 1937. These delivery trucks were produced virtually unchanged until 1986 when the company went bankrupt and dissolved after having been sold to several different owners since the late 1960's. DIVCO vans were often used by dairy producers and had a 4 cylinder Continental engine with folding side doors. This is the only one that I have ever seen attached to a refuse truck body. Trash collecting trucks are normally built on larger Class 8 type chassis but this one is really short overall so maybe that's why it was built on a DIVCO. Perhaps it was used by some local public works dept, I'm not sure.
2022 Case F recolour of the Matchbox Express Delivery and one I had assumed i'd missed out on thanks to Tesco spending SIX MONTHS continually stocking Case E!
This entire batch is now mysteriously turning up at Toytown stores in short cards rather than the expected secondary market long ones so i'm not sure where they've come from.
I've always liked this Grumman-Olson based casting and despite various modifications to cheapen it, it still looks good when given decent liveries such as the established but fictitious CarGo Couriers.
Mint and boxed.

Norwood, Ohio. I braved a light rain to get this shot. I couldn't believe anyone would name their company "Bimbo". Turns out that Bimbo Bakeries has been around since 1945 probably before the term "bimbo" had it's current meaning. They say it is pronounced "Beembo", but then again, they probably changed the pronunciation recently to avoid any confusion. Turns out they make several other brands of bakery goods, one of which I buy regularly. Go figure.

Taken at the ATHS' Ohio Vintage Truck Jamboree held a the Ashland County Fairgrounds in Ashland, Ohio.
This wonderful truck, which I'm assuming was originally used as a milk truck or something similar, is a club project of the Motor City Chapter of the ATHS. They worked on it from 2012 until 2019. I didn't ask it this was it's show debut, but it wouldn't surprise me. They should be very proud. I wonder who gets to keep it or if they pass it around from time to time.
This is a 2009 or later Workhorse W62 step-van, I photographed this truck at some sort of crime scene in Mountain View a couple years ago.
