I think, with reasonable doubt, it is Austin Motor Company J2 Omnivan from 1962. There are not probably too many around, and the only way I identified it was, that Austin sponsored Canadian Race Communication Association, which is the emblem on the side of the vehicle. I am really proud of myself. Such vans were used for milk, bread delivery and even as a police or school vehicle.

Looks perfect for when my Infinity truck is too big for the roads. It handles well, very reliable, and generally fun to drive.

Chevrolet Step Van any help with the year ect. appreciated

The Chevrolet Step-Van (and its badge-engineered counterpart, the GMC Value-Van) is a multi-stop truck made by General Motors from 1940 to 1998.

The first generation of General Motors multi-stop delivery van was called the Dubl-Duti, introduced in 1940. The van was built on the 115-inch (2,921 mm) chassis of the Chevrolet pickup truck, with a body built by Divco Twin.

A new generation of Dubl-Duti was introduced for model year 1949, with two different wheelbases shared with the medium-duty Advance Design pickup trucks: the model 3742 with 125+1⁄4-inch (3,181 mm) wheelbase, and 137-inch (3,480 mm) log model 3942 . The Thriftmaster engine was carried over for the 1949 and 1950 model years, and replaced for 1951 by the 235.5-cubic-inch (3.9 L) Loadmaster engine. The Dubl-Duti ceased production in 1955.

In 1955, a new series of Chevrolet forward-control chassis launched, similar to the previous Dubl-Duti, available in three sizes the model 3442 with a 104 inch wheel base, Model 3542 with a 125 inch wheel base and Model 3752 at 137 inches. All models were available only with the Loadmaster six-cylinder engine, which was renamed the Thrift Master Special from 1956. The 265-cubic-inch (4.3 L) Trademaster V8 engine was available as an option in 1956 and 1957. Until 1958, GM only made the rolling forward-control chassis for other coachbuilders such as Boyertown, De Kalb, Dayton T. Brown, Olson, Alf-Herman, Universal, and Montpelier to fit specialized van bodies to. Beginning in 1958, GM began selling its own steel bodies on its forward-control chassis, and called the new vans Step-Van. The bodies were installed by the Union City Body Company, a GM subsidiary based in Union City, Indiana. The first generation Step-Vans became known as the following the introduction of the Square Front in 1964.

A new shortened model called the also known as the Step-van 7 was introduced in 1961o named for its 7-foot (2.1 m) body on a new 102-inch (2,591 mm) wheelbase.

I think this delivery van has made it's last run.

This is the craziest trash truck I’ve seen. Looks like the collection hopper was grafted on to a step van cab. I believe the business part of it is a Wayne Tomcat.

Multi-stop trucks (also known as walk-in delivery or step vans) are a type of light-duty and medium-duty truck created for local deliveries to residences and businesses. They are designed to be driven either sitting down or standing up, and often provide easy access between the driver and goods, hence the name "Walk-In Delivery" van. They are taller than full-size vans such as the Ford Econoline, Dodge A-Series/B-Series/Ram Vans, and Chevrolet G-Series vans, but can have wheelbases that are shorter than these models or longer.

The eagle-eyed among you may have spotted a model of a van next to my Eagle in the picture I took at Steam last weekend. It was a little something I built whilst visiting the Bright Bricks workshop on the Friday before, in an hour or so, using my memory rather than pictures as a reference for what these vans looked like. The result wasn't terrible, but this weekend I went ahead and completely rebuilt it, with more accurate looks, working doors and an interior.

I can't believe that I hadn't posted this series of a pink International Metro van that I came across a few years ago. I was on a bus heading to do some planespotting at Toronto's Lester B. Pearson Airport when the corner of my eyes caught this adorable van parked at a strip mall. On the way back, I got off half-way and luckily it was still parked there.

The International Metro Van was made by International Harvester between 1938 and 1975. On the grill's badge, you can see the i H logo for International Harvester.

Unfortunately I had not recorded where I saw this very well-preserved van. The Simple Life Natural Health Products was already shut down when I tool this image, and a quick search on Google didn't yield any possible results.

Pan Am Douglas DC-7B Clipper Evening Star with an ESSO Avgas truck with a crew refueling the aircraft at an USA Airport, ca mid 1950's. This airplane was used by Pan Am from 1955 through 1964, however; it was renamed Caribbean. It perhaps won't be very long before this airliner is back up into the sky above the dark clouds in the sunlight. The ESSO Avgas trailer is of an art deco streamliner design. The Avgas back in those day was usually available at either 115 or 125 octane to meet the requirements of the high compression radial engines. Each of the Wright R-3350 Duplex Cyclone radial engines used on the aircraft produced 3,250 hp for take-off power at sea level, and slightly less at higher airports. There were even more powerful versions of this engine that produced up to 3,800 hp.

Flying during this time period was much more comfortable and enjoyable, and in reality the trip time was not a bit slower than today, and perhaps a bit faster. What I meant by that is that the aircraft flew slower than today of course, but your arrival time at the airport was very near boarding time and you didn't need to inspected to board the aircraft. When you consider the total travel time (location to destination) as the trip time you would be very surprised with the time. Plus today newer and larger airports in numerous cases are further away from your destination, than in the old days. As for comfort the plane had a seat pitch that was very comfortable, even in the standard section, and first class was really first class. You had pretty and friendly hostesses to attend to your needs. The aircraft that superseded this one was the DC-7C, the final Douglas prop-liner with 3,400 hp engines and it had a top speed of 408 mph.
