Senator Cathy Osten talks with Carl Reiser, president of New England Glass and Mirror in Norwich, about some of the improvements his business made with a matching state grant and help from the state's STEP-Up job subsidy training program. Reiser said his small business increased its workforce by 33 percent (from 15 to 20 employees) and purchased new computers, trucks and some machinery, allowing them to expand from repair work to fabrication. On our return to the step-up this time, Blake put on the show with his newly healed elbow. And what a show it was, he was EASILY clearing the top of the jump.
I'm kind of bummed that we cut our session short so I could catch the 8PM ferry, because I think that shit would have really gone down if we'd stayed a while longer.
