These wonderful little step-up stools were originally developed while my brother and I were busy toddlers and needed to reach the sink. No quality stools that could be easily managed by small children could be found. My dad who was a Master Carpenter before he got his PhD in Metallurgical Engineering created a step stool for us to use.
Designed with a smooth center opening for little (and big!) hands to grip, light enough for even a toddler to carry, sturdy leg placement to protect from tips, strong enough to hold anyone, this stool is a marvel of form meeting function.
Since that first prototype, the popularity of these stools has swept through our family and everyone we know. Hundreds of these little stools have been made by my dad, my great uncles, and my grandfather. They are favorite wedding and baby gifts. Now we are sharing with you!
Once you have one in your house, you will wonder how you ever did without it! We have one in every room, and when one has migrated, it is always missed!
Excellent for reaching the bathroom sink, as a seat wherever your child decides to park, and fostering independence and pride in small children. It is great for you too: sitting on to bathe the kids or anywhere where otherwise you'd have to kneel, putting your feet up while sitting (I love them when I am pregnant!), holding piles of books by the bed stand, reaching high objects, and beautiful in every room, these stools are unbelievably useful in all sorts of ways.
These stools are hand-made and finished in the USA by the clever and doting grandfather of my children.
Currently available in natural sanded, cottage white, barn red and primed ready to paint!

Today's theme in We're Here! is "Steps". I have two kinds of steps on my house- wooden and concrete. I've done different photos with them throughout my 8 years of 365s and my lots of years of being a Hereio (since Year 3, I just went and checked).
Anyway, this step is on my truck. I have a 2012 Chevrolet Colorado and it has running boards on it to give you a little step up. The thing is, a Colorado is a mid-size pickup truck. You don't need a step up on it. A Silverado, sure. You need a boost. But in this case, the step just gets in the way and makes it more of a stretch to get into the driver's seat (I have never ridden in the passenger seat of this truck).
So, I never use this step, even though it is there, waiting to be stepped on.
