Steps leading up to the cafe's and restaurants at Sydney's MLC Centre, the blocks look like the architect was influenced by Minecraft.

On the capitol steps. There used to be a plaque, but people kept stealing it. So they carved it in the step. Then they found out it was the wrong step. So they put the brass plug where it really is a mile above sea level.

 

The site notes that no other capitol "has the distinction of being the only state capitol situated exactly one mile above sea level..." which strikes me as a strange distinction to make, as, well, who would be? It's not like they're saying that it's the highest capitol, y'know?

 

Anyway, it had not occurred to me that ALL of Denver is NOT a mile above sea level. You have to be in a higher part of Denver. So, for example, the 16th Street Pedestrian Mall is not a mile high. Weird.

Whitby's 199 steps are an extraordinary attraction.

I generally stop half way up next to this lamp post to catch my breath before continuing up until I reach the Abbey.

Taken and processed on iPhone 6.

This is a picture I took from my hike down the Spanish Steps Trail located on the Orote Peninsula of Guam. The trail has an elevation gain of 150 feet and is about 1 mile roundtrip. You can read more about my hike at this link.

Undoubtedly one of the leading forces in 1990's pop, STEPS are hailed as one of Britain’s best loved bands. From their first hit, 5, 6, 7, 8, STEPS went on to have an amazing 14 consecutive Top 5 hits.

 

Memorable chart toppers included Tragedy, One For Sorrow and Heartbeat. Their first album, STEP ONE was certified five times platinum, cementing their position as the UK’s biggest pop sensations.

 

Their next album, STEPTACULAR, featuring smash hits Love’s Got A Hold Of My Heart and After The Love Has Gone, helped the album go four times platinum. In total, across 4 albums, STEPS sold an astonishing 15 million records...and now they're back.

 

Steps have come together once again for a reunion tour kicking off in April 2012.

Radley College STEPS programme is an outreach initiative which aims to give 'academic stretch' to pupils of primary schools in the Abingdon / Oxford area. It is coordinated by Radley Housemaster Harry Crump. The young visitors to Radley participate in specially tailored classes on one Saturday morning a month.
