History:
The development of Xerion began in 1968, but was suspended in 1972 with the launch of the MB-Trac, because originally a collaboration with Mercedes-Benz was being considered. 1978, the development was resumed.
Concept:
The Claas Xerion has a system of four steered tractor tires of the equal size. The Xerion has three mounting areas: front and rear hydraulic linkage, and structure behind the cab. In addition, some versions have a 110-mm ball coupling for a gooseneck hitch behind the cab.
The cabin is located, depending on the design, to be centred on the frame. For the TRAC VC version has a cabin that can partially rotate backwards for push operation or in the normal direction of direction of travel, to be centrally mounted with the view forward over the engine.
Suspension:
The first models of Xerion possessed a welded frame in full frame design, now the frame construction is bolted.
The axles of the Xerion can be steered either individually, in opposite directions or in the same direction (in the crab ) via the steerable rigid axle.
Drive:
The engines are inline six-cylinder Mercedes-Benz with up to 390 kW. In the past, engines were Perkins Engines and Caterpillar installed.
The original development contract included the construction of a separate continuously variable transmission, the HM-8. It had an 8-areas and works with a hydrostatic-mechanical power split. The gearbox was awarded the Agritechnica Gold Medal award in 1997. The Claas Xerion used the continuous transmission from ZF.

The model shown here is the largest, most powerful version of the Claas XERION 4x4 Tractor system, the 5000. The model has the standard cabin configuration, and includes technic piston engine, four-wheel-drive and four-wheel steering. The Lego miniland-scale model has been created for Flickr LUGNuts' 84th Build Challenge, our 7th birthday, to the theme, - "LUGNuts Turns 7…or 49 in Dog Years", - where all the previous challenge themes are available to build to. The XERION has been built to the 37th Build Challenge, - "The Food We Eat", - for farm-related vehicles, or vehicles used for the transportation of food products.

Saginaw is a city in the State of Michigan and the seat of Saginaw County. The city of Saginaw and Saginaw County are both located in the area known as Mid-Michigan or Central Michigan. The city of Saginaw is located adjacent to Saginaw Charter Township and is considered part of the Great Lakes Bay area, along with neighboring Bay City and Midland. The Saginaw County MSA had a population of 196,542 in 2013.
The city of Saginaw was a thriving lumber town in the 19th century and an important industrial city and manufacturing center throughout much of the 20th century. However, by the late 20th century, Saginaw's industry and its once-strong manufacturing presence declined, leading to increasing unemployment, crime, and a decrease in population. Neighboring communities, such as Saginaw Charter Township, saw subsequent population increases while the city itself is projected to return to normal population growth after the decades-long structural changes to the economy.
Currently, economic development is focused on comparative advantages in innovation, clean energy, and continued manufacturing exports. Compared to other mid-sized communities, Saginaw has a disproportionately high number of patents per employee, and more than 81 times the average US share of jobs in photovoltaic technology research and production. The city continues to have a higher proportion of manufacturing jobs in comparison to the US.
During much of the 20th century, Saginaw's economy was dominated by manufacturing related to the automotive industry; most notably, manual transmission assemblies, steering gear boxes and power steering pumps. At the height of manufacturing in the 1960s and 1970s, the city and neighboring Buena Vista Township hosted 12 General Motors plants, an Eaton Manufacturing plant where 5,000 people turned out auto parts (demolished 2008), and numerous smaller concerns.
The manufacturing presence in Saginaw declined in the latter half of the 20th century, leading to high unemployment throughout the city. As a result, the city's population diminished; from 2000 to 2010, the population of Saginaw proper decreased by nearly ten thousand people, and Michigan's state population during that time period decreased by 0.6% percent, the only U.S. state to lose population during the decade of the 2000s. In addition, Saginaw has faced increasing social problems relating to poverty as a result of its high rate of unemployment. In recent years, Saginaw's crime rate has been a major area of concern for the community as well.
Saginaw's entertainment hub can be found in the downtown area, where venues such as The Dow Event Center and the restored Temple Theatre offer live entertainment. The Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra and Saginaw Choral Society are housed in the Temple and each of these organizations perform full concert series annually at the Temple venue. The Saginaw Historical Society is also located downtown in an elaborate castle.
The Castle Museum of Saginaw County History is an important and prominent museum in downtown Saginaw. The museum is housed in a former post office which was built to resemble a castle, and pays homage to the historical French heritage of the area. With over 100,000 artifacts in their collection, the Historical Society of Saginaw County displays items from their collection as well as that of traveling exhibits.

The dots are all joined but the thread of the plot is unclear as you steer through my intentions and weave your aspirations into my destinations. I may decide to catch a later train of thought, at the next station, for inspiration.

This one incorporates a linked steering assembly, so when one front wheel is turned, the opposite wheel turns with it. (see video)
It also features a working piston engine.
There are 2 connections within this version that I'm not sure of the legitimacy on. i.e. if they are "set friendly" (I "think" they should be okay, but I'm not 100% sure)
The bonnet / hood has again been slightly reworked to improve the stability of connections within it.
So, between the R500 and 620R there are now 2 legitimate workable designs, which can be produced in a range of colours
The features between both versions can be voted upon, as to which ones people would rather see in the final end version (IF) it were to ever make it through.
i.e. The 620R model, but with the R500 linked steering, static removable engine. In BRG with yellow stripes and grey bodywork / black wheel arches could be option no.1.
I'm also working on a 3rd design, which has the long flared fixed front wheel arches, full windscreen and removable side door pannels, again to throw a 3rd option of choices into the mix for the final design.

Nick Berbakos (1917-1988), a native Washingtonian, opened The Black Steer, a steak and lobster restaurant, at 730 17th Street NW, in 1957. Later called Nick and Dottie's Black Steer to include Berbakos' wife Dorothy, the Black Steer gained a next-door competitor in 1963: the Sans Souci. After Dottie died in 1979, Berbakos sold the Black Steer, and the space was converted to a McDonald's.

I admit I am an animal lover so watching some of this stuff is difficult for me. It is the human challenge and people pushing themselves to the limits that is most interesting to me. I'm sure I saw a couple of human injuries but they walk off and try not to make a big deal out of it.
