The State Line Restaurant. The restaurant sits on the State Line between New Mexico (City of Sundland Park) and Texas (City of El Paso).
The South Carolina State House is home to the government of the Palmetto State, which includes the state general assembly and the offices of the governor and lieutenant governor. Located southeast of the intersection of Gervais and Assembly Streets on a public space that encompasses four city blocks, the building was designed by John R. Niernsee. Its construction began in 1855 and continued until 1907. Work on the edifice slowed during the Civil War, and was suspended in 1865 as General W.T. Sherman's U.S. Army entered Columbia on February 17.
Reconstruction-era poverty slowed the building's progress. The State House's main structure was finally completed in 1875. From 1888 to 1891, Niernsee's son, Frank McHenry Niernsee, served as architect and much of the interior work was completed. In 1900, Frank P. Milburn began as architect, but was replaced in 1905 by Charles Coker Wilson who finally finished the exterior in 1907. Additional renovations were made in 1959 and 1998.
The State House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976 for its significance in the post-Civil War Reconstruction Era.
The State House features Classical Revival style; it is approximately 180-feet-tall, 300-feet-long, and 100-feet-wide. The building itself is pockmarked by cannon damage sustained during General Sherman's campaign to take the city.
This state house grounds are noteworthy for an abundance of monuments honoring white supremacists and avowed racists. These include memorial statues dedicated to Wade Hampton III–a confederate general who after the Civil War led a "Redeemer" effort to restore white rule to South Carolina, Strom Thurmond–one of the longest-serving senators in U.S. history whose singular legacy was a devout opposition to desegregation and the civil rights movement, and Benjamin Ryan Tillman–state governor and U.S. senator who defended lynching and frequently ridiculed black Americans in his speeches.

Bauchi State is a State in northern Nigeria. Its capital is the city of Bauchi. The state was formed in 1976 when the former North-Eastern State was broken up. It originally included the area now in Gombe State, which became a distinct state in 1996.

The Orovada soil series was first proposed in 1956 and eventually was established in 1972 in Nye County, Nevada. It is named for a small town of Orovada in Humboldt County, Nevada. The name of the town was coined in 1918 from the Spanish word “oro” which means gold and “vada” from Nevada. A class project by the students of the Orovada School culminated in the Governor of Nevada signing Senate Bill 152 in June 2001 which officially designated the Orovada soil as Nevada’s state soil.
What makes Orovada soils so important is its use and how extensive it is in the State. Although, they are arid and semi-arid soils, they are arable when irrigated and are considered prime farmland. In general, soils can be used for agriculture (growing foods, raising animals, stables); engineering (roads, buildings, tunnels); ecology (wildlife habitat, wetlands), recreation (ball fields, playground, camping areas) and more. Orovada soils are used for growing crops, livestock grazing and wildlife habitat. When irrigation is provided, winter wheat and barley, alfalfa for hay and seed, and grass for hay and pasture are principal crops grown on these soils. Orovada soils are common on semiarid rangeland with sagebrush-grass plant communities. The semiarid rangelands supported by the Orovada soil are home to many species of birds, reptiles and mammals.

Cleawox Lake (klē' ə woks) is a body of water dammed by sand dunes along the Pacific Ocean coast of the U.S. state of Oregon. The lake is about 3 miles (5 km) south of Florence along U.S. Route 101. Sharing the lakeshore are private properties as well as Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area and Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park which also partly fronts on Woahink Lake. Cleawox is derived from the Siuslaw name for the lake.
Cleawox Lake is a submerged remnant of the headwaters of a small coastal stream that existed before the most recent ice age. The lake formed after melting glaciers caused a rise in sea level that drowned the lower reaches of the stream. Sediments from the sluggish stream formed sand dunes, behind which the lake was dammed. The dunes, estimated to be advancing northward at 15 to 20 feet (4.6 to 6.1 m) a year, are encroaching on the lake.
Park visitors use the lake for swimming, canoeing, and fishing for warm-water species and rainbow and coastal cutthroat trout. In the state park, picnic tables have been set up in sight of the water. No overnight camping is allowed next to the lake, but nearby areas of the state park have many campsites.
