Much more impressive when opened in large view. 153 x 30 second images stacked into one image using the application "Startrails".
55 minutes of exposure time.
Taken using a Canon 7D at 10mm f/4 ISO800, 110 exposures at 30 seconds each.
A startrails shot consisting of 56 separate images. This was part of a much longer sequence of images, unfortunately passing clouds spoiled some of the earlier ones.
The images were once again stacked using software obtained from this website www.startrails.de/html/software.html
Time-lapsed photo taken off the Helderberg Escarpment of Thacher Park, Albany, N.Y. Nikon D700 camera, Kiev MIR-24H fisheye lens. Over 75 photographs stacked with startrails.de software. Photo by Chuck Miller.
My first attempts using the Live Composite feature in the Olympus EM1..... each picture is a multiple 15sec exposure automatically overlaid and the set range from 8 - 10 minute total exposure time
A startrail time-lapse from a few nights ago. 810 images captured over approximately 90 minutes produced this 33 second video.
I'm quite surprised how this one turned out because there was an almost full moon out at the time. White balance was set to daylight.
merged from 3 images with different shutter speeds: 180s, 15 Minutes, 20 Minutes. Gaps are intentional ;)
This is a startrail that I took on Sunday evening. The weather was perfect for getting out and getting some star trials done, but I had a headache and didn't want to go further than than the garden. Still, it worked out pretty well!
Taken with the Flickr Friday theme of "When Night Falls" in mind.
It's 163 x 15 second exposures. It was meant to be 2-300 exposures, but the neighbours cat knocking the camera whilst I went to warm up has reduced that number a bit.
163 x 15s, ISO 200, f4 at 11mm.

After a bit of trial and error I managed my first ever successful star trail shot. It could have been a lot better if my battery hadn't run out. Best Viewed Large On Black
Tonight was a test of an idea I've had in my mind for sometime. What would happen if you took created a startrail image and then blended it with a series of shots taken at sunset. This image is the result. The foreground being from the moments after the sun dipped below the horizon and the startrails obviously from after twilight ended. I made a few technical errors in the process but the proof of concept seems to hold water. Next time I'll go for longer trails and not adjust the apeture between sunset and startrails.
Aufgenommen einfach mitten auf irgendeinem Feld. Nein das links ist nicht die Sonne, das ist der Mond ;)
Was gibts dazu noch zu sagen?... Naja mit einem Fisheye 8mm aufgenommen. ;)

Got a beautiful clear window of opportunity down at cramond last night. Been out since sunset taking a few snaps and as the night drew in this seemed like a fine idea.Havent done a summer startrail before I dont think, and hadnt anticpated lens fog. Really gutted. This is only 36 minutes of shots and actualy probably shouldnt have use the last 8 minutes. The fog was so bad that you couldnt see the pole at all in the final images. Could have been much, much better..
Startrail at my kampung (village) during my return for the Eidulfitri celebration.
That's my mother's house on the left, and my auntie's on the right :)
